United Way Center for Financial Stability
15 years of transforming financial vulnerability into financial empowerment
Helping working individuals and families pave a path to financial independence is at the heart of the United Way Center for Financial Stability. With three sites strategically located throughout Miami-Dade County, we help residents tackle their most pressing financial challenges by providing a full menu of financial capability services, ranging from financial coaching and education to tax preparation.
Who We Help
The latest ALICE Report shows nearly half a million Miami-Dade County households are financially insecure and unable to afford the basics. Many of these families are hardworking members of the community who are employed yet can’t keep up with the rising cost of living. They earn above the Federal Poverty Level but are still struggling to get by.
A community’s success is directly related to the financial stability of its residents. The Center for Financial Stability helps individuals and families improve their long-term financial health and well-being
How We Help
The United Way Center for Financial Stability’s trained staff and volunteers work with thousands of individuals and families, providing services which include:
- Financial coaching and education
- Credit and debt management
- Free expert tax preparation
- Legal services
The goal is to connect people with the tools, training and opportunities needed to achieve long-term financial stability. Our qualified financial coaches help develop personalized plans to identify and achieve financial goals.
