Working together to improve lives
United Way held a weeklong series of Impact Partner Roundtables focused on discussions to help shape public policy around our work in education, financial stability and health. Dozens of participants including our partner agencies, community members and volunteers took part. Hear what they had to say.
Recently arrived from Cuba, Ana and her daughter Aaliyah look forward to a bright future with the support of United Way’s Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) program.

Healing and hope shared through art
Following the Surfside tragedy, our community came together to send messages of love, healing and hope through art. A flood of inspirational drawings, paintings and sketches were received for the families affected and first responders on the scene. Browse our community’s artwork and submit your own.

Angelica Sanitbanez CRA Specialist, Bradesco BAC Florida Bank
Last year, Women United Executive Committee member Angelica Sanitbanez did not take a break! She led a virtual back-to-school drive and inspired her Bradesco BAC Florida Bank colleagues to purchase items to benefit hundreds of low-income students. On behalf of Bradesco, Angelica also joined MISSION UNITED in the purchase of 300 COVID-19 PPE kits for some of the most vulnerable veterans in our community as well as funding to restock two low-income veteran food banks.
In addition to helping our veterans, Angelica also served as team captain for the virtual UPS 5K Walk/Run and brought together 25 of her colleagues and their families to support United Way’s work in education, financial stability and health.
