Now accepting preschool applications Our nationally recognized United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education Demonstration School, Educare of Miami-Dade is now accepting applications for preschool students ages 3 to 4 for the 2022-2023 school year. The Demonstration School seeks to elevate the quality of early care and education in Miami-Dade and beyond. The program is designed to stimulate young minds and deepen children’s investigation of the world around them, preparing them cognitively, physically and emotionally to enter school eager and ready to learn.
Did you know? Since its inception 15 years ago, the Center for Excellence in Early Education together with more than 100 early education and childcare partners, have invested more than $122 million in early childhood programs – or – have directly impacted 56,422 young children in Miami-Dade County.
 The 21st Annual Mayor’s Ball hosted by Mayor Daniella Levine Cava The 21st Annual Mayor’s Ball, hosted for the first time by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, brought together more than over 600 community leaders to celebrate Miami-Dade’s resilience, honor frontline heroes, and raise over $1.3 million to support United Way Miami’s work in education, financial stability and health.  Volunteers committed to #GiveBackandConnect In honor of National Volunteer Month, VolunteerMiami Day brought together over 75 volunteers to pack and distribute much needed supplies to more than 700 vulnerable families in Miami-Dade County. Volunteers also gave back to the community through other various service projects throughout the month.
