United Way Miami is celebrating National Volunteer Month, April 1 – 30. The month is filled with various local opportunities for volunteers like you to celebrate with us!
VOLUNTEERMIAMI DAY / EARTH DAY | SATURDAY, APRIL 22, 2023 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
This year VolunteerMiami Day falls on Earth Day, and we are spending the day outdoors with Miami-Dade County Parks at Kendall Indian Hammocks Park for a hardwood hammock restoration project. Join us in serving as good stewards of the South Florida habitat and improving our environment for our neighbors to enjoy for years to come. Don’t miss the fun – there will be family-friendly activities, a plant giveaway and food trucks.

BISCAYNE BAY CLEANUP DAY / BAYNANZA 2023 (4/15)
Baynanza is a celebration of Biscayne Bay and its significance as one of the most important ecological systems in South Florida. On April 15, 2023, from 9 am – 12 pm, the community is coming together to celebrate our incredible marine resources and help clean Biscayne Bay’s shorelines at 31 locations across the County.
FEEDING SOUTH FLORIDA MEAL PACKING (4/1-4/30)
Feeding South Florida is committed to serving individuals, families and older adults experiencing food insecurity and doing all they can to care for our community. Volunteers are needed to assist with the inspecting, sorting and repacking of donated food.
VOLUNTEER AT MIAMI LEXUS CORPORATE RUN (4/27)
Help 5K race organizers for “Downtown Miami’s Largest Office Party” on April 27 from 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm to support United Way Miami, the official nonprofit beneficiary of the race. Race organizers need volunteers throughout the race and tent village with crowd control and various tasks.
“APRIL SHOWERS” HYGIENE KIT DRIVE – REMOTE OPTION (4/1-4/30)
Support our neighbors in need by donating personal hygiene products to United Way! Assemble kits from the convenience of your home or organization, deliver them to United Way, and know your efforts will make a difference in the lives of Miami-Dade residents.
