Take a walk in ALICE's shoes

ALICE is not an individual rather represents nearly 60% of all Miami-Dade households who are one emergency from falling into poverty. ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) are mostly hard-working families who simply cannot cover their basic needs. They are our most valuable and vulnerable citizens, and that's why we fight for them. Take a walk in their shoes to experience the difficult financial decisions they are faced with on a daily basis.

"I see United Way as a conduit, not just for people who need assistance, but also for people like me who want to do more, but don’t necessarily have all the time or the tools to effectuate the change we wish to see in our communities. My experience as an employee campaign manager at Jackson and a Women United member has empowered me to encourage others like my friends and colleagues to join the fun!"
