As we come to the end of a year like no other, I invite you to join me in celebrating the incredible generosity and resilience of our volunteers, our agency partners, staff and our overall community. Especially, how together, we've expanded our work to address the new needs created by COVID-19 and how we’ve come together to lift up each other, and our community, during these unprecedented times. I am honored to be president and CEO of your United Way, and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this community. I look forward to working together for an equitable and just community providing opportunities for all our neighbors.

Help the victims of the Surfside building collapse Our heart goes out to all the victims and families impacted by the building collapse in Surfside. We’ve activated Operation Helping Hands to support and assist affected families with their short and long-term needs created by this unexpected tragedy. HeARTs for Healing Join us in spreading some much needed love, positive energy and sense of community to residents, first responders and all those affected by the recent Surfside tragedy. While only trained professionals are permitted to be involved in the relief work at this time, we encourage you, your family and friends to take part in our HeARTs for Healing virtual volunteer opportunity by sharing your artwork of healing and hope. These beautiful messages of hope will be shared with the community in partnership with the Miami Herald and Univision.

2021 Legislative session wraps up with wins for ALICE families Florida’s 29 United Ways’ 2021 Consensus Legislative Agenda won big in the areas of education, financial stability and health at this year’s legislative session.
Making it easier than ever to donate As technology continues to advance, United Way is keeping up with the times and is now accepting PayPal and cryptocurrency via Bitpay to make it easier for our supporters to contribute to our mission.
United Way of Miami-Dade receives $200,000 COVID-19 vaccination grant from Ocean Reef Community Foundation The grant aims to build awareness and inform the South Dade region while making COVID-19 vaccinations accessible.
Helping to build healthy communities United Way Day of Action is a national day of service for all United Ways, where volunteers come together to be part of solutions that make a difference in our community. This year, our United Way focused on building healthy communities by restoring and maintaining natural spaces around the county via environmental cleanups.
