Day of service brings together volunteer leaders
Our giving community volunteers came together last month to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and celebrate Black History Month through a volunteer project. Our day of service benefitted our longtime partner, Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida, which is celebrating its centennial year. United Way volunteers joined forces in the beautification of Camp Mahachee to build a safe and welcoming place for students and faculty to thrive.
Did you know? United Way’s Turkey and Syria Earthquake Fund addresses immediate needs like food, clothing and medical essentials, as well as longer-term medical and trauma care that will be critical to those impacted by the devastation. United Way Worldwide supports vetted, nonpartisan organizations on the ground, providing vital help to those who need it most.
Patricia and José Mas announced as 2023 VeritageMiami chairs
We’re excited to announce Patricia and José Mas as our 2023 VeritageMiami event season chairs. Join them as we continue with three main events, including the new Wine and Food Experience on May 17 at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour, followed by the signature Interactive Dinner on May 19 at the Intercontinental Miami Hotel and Bubbly Brunch on May 21 at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. M-DCPS raises more than $1.2 million for our community
Last month we brought together more than 300 students, teachers, administrators and staff from Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) to celebrate the 2022-23 United Way Miami community fundraising campaign. The month-long campaign, which was held in October, raised more than $1.2 million to support over 100 United Way Miami-funded programs working to ensure everyone has access to quality education and the opportunity to live healthy and financially secure lives.

It's back! "Downtown Miami's Largest Office Party" is on April 27. Gather your colleagues, sign up your team and join us at the Lexus Corporate Run to support United Way Miami, the official nonprofit beneficiary of the race.
Miami-Dade College Performing Arts & Industries Program, Kendall Campus
February is a month to show love and appreciation to those around us. In support of our volunteer kit packing initiative, students from the Performing Arts & Industries Program at Miami-Dade College assembled self-love and wellness kits. The kits contained water bottles, journals, treats, tea and motivational cards.
Kits were packed and delivered to teachers from the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education and Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership Program to show appreciation for their ongoing hard work to help our children succeed.
Thank you, Miami-Dade College Kendall Campus students, for helping build a stronger Miami, together.
