 Championing ALICE families in 2023 Florida Legislative Session Discover how United Way Miami took center stage during the 2023 Florida Legislative Session, advocating for ALICE families and driving the statewide consensus agenda. Through strategic partnerships and impactful events, we successfully secured investments in affordable housing, expanded access to the KidCare program and obtained additional funding for our VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) free tax preparation program.  United Way’s Demonstration School awarded Red Nose Day funds We are thrilled to receive funding from Red Nose Day, helping to enrich our early education initiatives through a garden revitalization, teacher wellness program and more family engagement activities.
