Children in Financial Hardship National report reveals that federal poverty data undercounts how many children are growing up amid insecurity - nearly 63 percent of Miami-Dade County's children lived in households that couldn't afford the basics, while traditional measures of poverty found that only 19.6 percent were living in poverty at that time.

Pérez with Building Dedication Ceremony United Way Miami hosted a dedication ceremony to honor Darlene and Jorge M. Pérez and The Pérez Family Foundation for their continued support of the organization and commitment to helping vulnerable families in Miami-Dade County.
