Join us next Sunday, January 22 to race for a stronger Miami in the beautiful City of Coral Gables. A fun-filled day awaits runners, walkers, athletes, families and wellness enthusiasts. Proceeds from the race will support over 100 United Way Miami-funded programs strengthening the education, financial stability and health of individuals and families in our community.

Did you know? Last year we helped nearly 6,600 Miami-Dade taxpayers receive free tax preparation through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. They saved $1.3 million in tax-preparation fees, received more than $11 million total in refunds and filed for almost $4 million in Earned Income Tax Credits.

Since its inception, the program has directly impacted more than 56,400 young children, improved the skills of over 36,000 educators, provided quality enhancement services to over 3,000 early education programs and invested more than $1.2 million in early childhood programs. More than $500,000 raised through Cruise for a Cause Thanks to a donation of more than 500 cabins from Virgin Voyages, the new, award-winning cruise line based in South Florida, United Way Miami has raised over $500,000 through the organization’s “Cruise for a Cause” promotion. All proceeds generated from the offer will benefit United Way’s mission by supporting 100+ local programs and services in the areas of education, financial stability and health.

Together, we made the holidays brighter Thanks to everyone who made our annual Holiday Gift Drive a success! With your help, we collected and distributed over 1,850 gifts to more than 1,600 families in need! Together, we spread holiday cheer and ensured children didn’t go without a gift during the holiday season.
