Know someone who can benefit from expert, free tax preparation?
Tax season is here, and Miami Tax Pros is now offering free tax preparation assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Professional, IRS-certified preparers are ready to help qualifying individuals and families file their taxes in person or virtually. VITA helps vulnerable families and individuals secure tax credits and get more of the money they earned back to pay bills, save for emergencies and invest in their future.

Thank you for going the extra mile
Thank you to all sponsors and participants who made the second annual Amerant Bank 5K a success! We had a wonderful day filled with fun activities, music and food in the City of Coral Gables and together raised over $100,000! More than 1,000 registered runners, walkers, families and fitness enthusiasts came together to support our continued work to ensure everyone in our community has access to quality education and the opportunity to live healthy and financially secure lives.
Did you know? Based on a survey by the Senior Citizens League (SCL), 47% of seniors have had to visit a food pantry or apply for food stamps. This past year through United Way, more than 6,440 older adults in Miami-Dade County received assistance to remain healthy and active.

First Horizon Bank & TD Bank
United Way Miami would like to celebrate the employees at both First Horizon Bank and TD Bank as our February Volunteer Spotlight!
Kicking off the new year, First Horizon Bank and TD Bank staff volunteers assembled 225 literacy kits to benefit the children in our Early Head Start program. The literacy kits contained reading books, stickers, bookmarks, coloring books and crayons that help children build reading skills and prepare them to enter school. This volunteer project directly advanced United Way Miami's work in education for children throughout Miami-Dade County.
We want to thank First Horizon Bank and TD Bank employees for their generosity and dedication to making our community a better place.
