VeritageMiami 2022 event series
Celebrating its 26th year, VeritageMiami brings together a who’s who of more than 2,000 wine, beer and food lovers for a world-class gathering of top sommeliers, notable chefs, prestigious wineries, outstanding breweries and an impressive lineup of auction lots all to benefit the Miami community.
The Salvation Army Miami Area Command has been a partner of VolunteerMiami since its soft launch in 2019. When the pandemic started, the Salvation Army was one of United Way Miami’s first community partners to post opportunities – continuing to care for people who are most vulnerable in our community. To date, over 150 volunteers supported the Salvation Army from VolunteerMiami with their food pantry distributions, Apple Tree drive, and emergency responses.
"The impact the Salvation Army of Miami has in the community would not be possible without the volunteers who give their time to our organization. Not only do volunteers help us with our day-to-day operations and food distributions, their presence gives our clients and community members reassurance that they are not alone, and that they have allies in the community that care about their well-being. We at The Salvation Army believe that hope happens here, and that hope begins with the commitment and support our volunteers give us every day."
