“After 5 years of being ReadingPal, I have really seen the difference in many of these kids. The teachers are working hard to give these four-year-old’s a wonderful start, and with the ReadingPals program, the hope is that by the end of first grade, these kids are reading and enjoying it.”
Al Blake, volunteer at Treasure Island Elementary, Volunteer reader

Become a ReadingPal

Become a ReadingPal and join 200 volunteers reading to young children at prekindergarten classrooms in neighborhoods across Miami-Dade. Research shows that children who learn to read well at an early age will not only read more independently, but also achieve more in math, social studies and science, and are more likely to graduate high school and pursue higher education. Early literacy is a key strategy to success.
