Small businesses in Miami-Dade employ 53 percent of the county’s workforce. Understanding that although they may be small yet mighty, our United Way has set out to engage and offer these small, local businesses the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than themselves.
Our United Way recently launched a new giving community aimed at helping to build businesses and employee morale. United Way Small Business United provides small business owners in Miami-Dade with unique opportunities to convene, share knowledge and insights, grow their businesses, and participate in philanthropic efforts that meet the needs of the communities they serve.
As a member of Small Business United, local businesses can create a personalized corporate social responsibility plan that meets their needs. They can also enjoy benefits like brand exposure on digital platforms, networking, volunteer opportunities and leadership development events. Employees of participating small businesses even receive perks, like access to a wide range of United Way services, as well as opportunities for professional growth.
On May 7, our United Way will host a “Business Breakfast” to celebrate National Small Business Week. Learn how to make businesses bankable while networking with fellow entrepreneurs. Please e-mail email@example.com or call (305) 646-7027 to RSVP.
