United Way of Miami-Dade grants 20 older adults with Golden Wishes

Luncheon celebration was held to commemorate life-long wishes to be granted

Twenty seniors over the age of 65 were honored by United Way of Miami-Dade at a luncheon celebration. Hosted by Dr. Rudolph Moise, Golden Wishes recipients celebrated their dreams coming true, shared their stories and made new friends. Wishes to be fulfilled range from basic necessities like trimming trees and purchasing an A/C unit to unique experiences like shadowing an ER nurse or recording a song with Emilio Estefan or taking a reunification trip to visit a daughter and meet a 9-year-old grandchild, among others.

Through Golden Wishes, United Way aims to show its appreciation and dedication to older adults, by making a few life-long wishes come true. For more information about Golden Wishes or to help us grant a wish, contact goldenwishes@unitedwaymiami.org or visit United Way of Miami-Dade Golden Wishes.
