United Way joins global #GivingTuesday movement to fight for early education

Every child deserves quality early education, regardless of their zip code

More than one in three children in Florida arrive in kindergarten not ready to learn. The academic achievement gap can be seen at just 18 months old, particularly between children from different socio-economic groups. United Way of Miami-Dade has joined #GivingTuesday to help change that narrative.

Knowledge is power, yet not all families can give their children a fighting chance. United Way Early Head Start centers offer quality early education and support to more than 500 children nd families from our most vulnerable neighborhoods in Miami-Dade.

Through Dec. 3, your gift to empower young children and their families will make double the impact. The first $25,000 raised will be matched by the Wolfson Family Philanthropic Fund.

Together, we can help improve access to quality early education – one of the critical cornerstones in building a stronger Miami.
