This Giving Tuesday share the gift of warmth with young children in our community. 2021-11-30T12:21:16-04:00

Help keep our young children warm this winter.

The Local Need

You never think about being cold in Miami but for young children who don’t have warm clothes during the winter months, each cold day can bring on unnecessary suffering. Many families in our community don’t have the means to keep their children warm – especially when they drop off their young ones early at school or daycare on chilly winter mornings.

Our United Way in partnership with Miami Herald/el Nuevo Herald need your help to meet the needs of local children (newborns to 5-year-olds) who don’t have proper protection from colder weather.

Please make a difference and give today.

What your donation provides.

You can help over 500 local children from low-income areas get basic protection from Miami’s chilly weather. For example, a $50 donation can provide a child with a hoodie or sweater, sneakers, socks, lip balm and other cold weather essentials to keep them warm. Of course, your donation in any amount will help.

Make your gift go further. The first $20,000 raised will be generously matched dollar for dollar by Jimmy and Janie Tate.
