For this month’s Small Business Spotlight, we catch up with The OIS Group.
1. Tell us about your business; and what is your business philosophy?
Within the areas of human resources, employee benefits, and insurance, we act as an unbiased owner’s rep aiming to streamline processes, ensure our clients make well informed decisions, and ultimately do what is best for the client.
2. Why are you passionate about your commitment to United Way?
The United Way is well diversified and touches so many important parts of our community. I know my time and donations are being put to good use to help those in need.
3. How did your business get started?
I started The OIS Group in January 2014 out of my home office. I saw the need and went for it one client at a time. Now we have roughly 75 clients and growing.
4. What is a lesson you have learned?
Hard work and taking calculated risk pays off.
5. What’s your favorite quote?
Don’t count your chickens before they hatch”
