Amid the unprecedented and evolving COVID-19 pandemic, and following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we are postponing/cancelling United Way events through the end of April. The health and safety of our community is our highest priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate rescheduled dates once restrictions can be lifted.
We are throwing a senior prom … with a twist. Held for the older adults of Southwest Social Services, the LINC Senior Prom will be an opportunity to interact with older adults … whether it is building corsages and boutonnieres at the arts and crafts table, taking them out on the dance floor, escort the senior-itas to the Macy’s makeover corner and the lads to the fitting room where Perry Ellis International will be donating a rack of blazers and providing a scent bar. And once they’re all made up, head to the photo booths! There will even be a raffle to add a little more spice to the festivities.
