Trembly Law Firm’s mission is to protect the economy, one business at a time. We help business owners, entrepreneurs and executives prevent problems, resolve disputes and grow with confidence. We work to empower businesses with proactive legal strategies so they can focus on what they do best – creating jobs, opportunities and thriving workplaces.
Why is philanthropy and giving back important to your Small Business?
Giving back is a natural extension of our mission. We believe strong businesses help build strong communities and we’re committed to contributing beyond the four walls of our office. We enjoy having a chance to support the people and organizations who make our community vibrant and resilient.
What does “community” mean to your Small Business?
Community means standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the individuals, families and small businesses who share our city, invest in its growth and shape its future. It means being present, engaged and supportive, not only as legal advocates, but as neighbors and partners. For us, community is about connection, accountability and contributing to something larger than ourselves.
Which of our four pillars Health & Wellbeing, Education, Resilient Communities, or Economic Mobility aligns most with your company?
Economic Mobility most closely aligns with our firm’s mission. Trembly Law Firm exists to protect businesses and help them grow. Thriving businesses play a key role in creating jobs, supporting families and strengthening local economies. By empowering business owners, we directly support upward mobility and long-term economic resilience.
How do you involve your employees in your Small Business philanthropic initiatives?
Our team actively participates in volunteer initiatives, charity drives and community events throughout the year. We encourage employees to bring forward causes they care about and we make it a priority to support organizations that reflect our team’s values. DE SOUZA LEGAL, P.A.
For this month’s Partner Spotlight, we catch up with The DE SOUZA LEGAL, P.A.
DE SOUZA LEGAL, P.A.
Tell us about your Small Business and its core mission?
de Souza Legal, P.A. is a Miami-based business law firm focused on complex business disputes, restructuring and insolvency matters and outside general counsel services.
Our core mission is to give businesses clear, strategic guidance when the stakes are high, whether that means navigating a dispute, working through operational or financial challenges, or making critical decisions that shape the path forward. We focus on practical solutions and sound judgment, not unnecessary complexity.
Why is philanthropy and giving back important to your Small Business?
Giving back is a core part of how we think about building a business and contributing to the community around us. Through our involvement with United Way Miami, including leadership roles within Young Leaders and work with Small Business United, we’ve seen how targeted, community-driven efforts can create real, lasting impact.
It’s also about setting the right example. Supporting these initiatives reflects a broader commitment to the Miami community and to the next generation of leaders who will continue to build it.
What does “community” mean to your Small Business?
Community is the network of people who are actively building, supporting and investing in the places where we live and work.
For us, that includes our clients, business leaders, nonprofit organizations and volunteers working to strengthen Miami. It’s about showing up, contributing and building long-term relationships.
Which of our four pillars align most with your company?
We support all four pillars. With that said, Resilient Communities and Economic Mobility align most closely with our work.
We regularly advise businesses and stakeholders navigating periods of change, disruption, or transition—often when the path forward is not obvious. Supporting efforts that strengthen stability and expand opportunity within the community naturally connects to that work.
How do you involve your employees in your Small Business philanthropic initiatives?
As a boutique firm, our involvement is hands-on and leadership driven. We participate directly in initiatives through United Way Miami, including volunteer events, sponsorships and leadership roles within its communities.
We approach that involvement as part of the broader responsibility of being active participants in the community—not just observers.

The OIS Group

The OIS Group is an independent PEO/ASO brokerage and employee benefits consultant with more than 24 years of experience. Our mission is to simplify the complex world of HR, employee benefits, and risk management for small and mid-sized businesses. By acting as an unbiased advisor, we help companies save time, reduce costs, and make confident, well-informed decisions—allowing them to stay focused on growth while we handle the heavy lifting.
Why is philanthropy and giving back important to your Small Business?
We believe success isn’t just measured in numbers—it’s also about impact. Giving back is a way for us to show gratitude for the communities that have supported us and our clients over the years. Whether through resources, time, or partnerships, we want to do our part to help others thrive and create opportunities where they’re needed most.
What does “community” mean to your Small Business?
To us, community means connection. It’s about relationships built on trust, support, and shared growth—whether that’s with our clients, our employees, or local organizations. Community is the fabric that ties people and businesses together, and when one part gets stronger, we all benefit.
Which of our four pillars—Health & Wellbeing, Education, Resilient Communities, or Economic Mobility—aligns most with your company?
The pillar that resonates most with us is Economic Mobility. By helping businesses make smarter choices around HR and employee benefits, we give them room to grow and create stability for their employees. That stability opens doors—better benefits, stronger financial security, and greater access to quality healthcare for families. In this way, our work not only fuels economic growth but also supports overall health and wellbeing, creating a lasting impact in the communities we serve.
How do you involve your employees in your Small Business philanthropic initiatives?
Our team is at the heart of everything we do, including how we give back. We encourage employees to bring forward causes they care about and get involved in community initiatives that speak to them. Mission HCM
For this month’s Partner Spotlight, we catch up with Mission HCM
Tell us about your Small Business and its core mission.
I own Mission HCM — we’re a small, boutique payroll and HR brokerage based right here in Miami. We help local business owners find the right payroll, HR, and PEO solutions to make running their companies easier and more affordable. Our mission is to take the stress out of the back office so business owners can focus on what really matters — growing their business, taking care of their people, and being part of this incredible community we have in Miami-Dade.
Why is philanthropy and giving back important to your Small Business?
Giving back is personal for us. We’re a small business ourselves, and we know how much of a difference a little support can make. Being part of the United Way small business community reminds us that success isn’t just about numbers — it’s about impact. Whether it’s helping a local entrepreneur get started or supporting programs that give families a better shot at stability, giving back keeps us connected to the heart of Miami.
What does “community” mean to your Small Business?
Community, for us, means family. It’s the café owner who greets you by name, the local nonprofit doing incredible work, the business next door cheering you on. Miami is full of energy and diversity — it’s a place where people hustle, help each other out, and celebrate together. Being part of that fabric is what keeps us motivated every day.
Which of our four pillars—Health & Wellbeing, Education, Resilient Communities, or Economic Mobility—aligns most with your company?
Economic Mobility really speaks to what we do. Every time we help a small business owner grow, hire, or stay compliant, we’re helping build economic strength right here at home. But we also know that mobility comes from education — so we love supporting programs that teach financial literacy and small business skills. That’s how we help people move forward and create their own opportunities.
How do you involve your employees in your Small Business philanthropic initiatives?
We’re a small team, just three of us, so everything we do, we do together. When we volunteer or support a cause, it’s hands-on and from the heart. We’ve joined United Way events, and many times have helped business owners understand payroll or HR compliance for free. Everyone on the team picks something they care about, and we find ways to rally around it. It’s part of our culture — giving back is just what we do.
