Today, Swire Properties through Swire Group Charitable Trust pledged a $100,000 corporate match to Operation Helping Hands. The gift is intended to encourage new corporate contributions to the Haiti relief effort.

“The needs in Haiti are tremendous,” said Steve Owens of Swire Properties.  “We are pleased to do our part in helping in the relief and recovery effort and hope that this corporate match will inspire others to respond to this unprecedented humanitarian crisis.”

The funds from this corporate match will go to support relief and recovery efforts in Haiti.  The dollars will go to organizations that are currently working in Haiti.

“Dollars raised through Operation Helping Hands will go to support organizations that they have a long and successful history of working in Haiti, have a proven track record of providing disaster relief and are effective and accountable,” Harve A. Mogul, president and CEO, United Way of Miami-Dade, said.
