12 Days of Kindness Challenge

12 Days of Kindness Challenge 2020-11-03T18:15:15-04:00

Calling All Miami-Dade Residents,

United Way is kicking off the Holiday season this November by challenging the community to part-take in acts of kindness leading up to World Kindness Day on November 13. Although our world has changed, the community needs your help now more than ever. Each day of November leading up to November 13, we ask the community to engage, give, advocate or volunteer for a stronger Miami in the following ways:

Nov 1: Share about the 12 Days of Kindness Challenge

Commit to the kindness challenge by sharing this page with others. Whether you’re buying a cup of coffee for someone in the Starbucks line or challenging your friends, we want you to perform one act of kindness today for others.

Share on social media by tagging @UnitedWayMiami and hash-tagging #UWKindnessChallenge for a chance to be featured!

Nov 7: Corporate Partners Making A Difference: Virtual Assurant 5K

Every year, thousands of employees at approximately 250 companies in Miami-Dade County get involved in workplace fundraising campaigns to support United Way. But workplace campaigns are more than raising money for local causes; they also strengthen connections between employees and their community while also enhancing companies’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals.

Although this year may be different, that hasn’t stopped Assurant employees from participating in the annual Assurant 5K. Within the last five years, the 5k has raised over $800,000 for Miami-Dade residents struggling to make ends meet via donations, sponsorships and employee matches from the Assurant Foundation. From contests to games, Assurant fights for a stronger Miami by taking their efforts virtual! Join organizations like Assurant investing in the future of our community.
